Razor Clamming In Oregon! Foraging Razor Clams - Coastal Catch and Cook
#FTWQ #Fishthatwontquit #catchandcook
In this video, we get out on the Oregon Coast to do some Razor Clam Digging! We use a tool called a clam gun to suck the sand out of the ground where the razor clams live! We then process and clean the razor clams and make a delicious razor clam chowder! I hope you enjoy this razor clamming adventure, and will see you in the next video!

    i can confirm this is the best knot my dad taught me this over 20 years ago he swore it was the best, so you know what i did i tested other knots out and this knot ive never heard a name for it and no one really knows it out of like 50 fishermen that i meet legit only 1 will do this knott, this knot has never failed me.

    Newb question, so don’t attack me people! Can knots like this be wound up into the reel or are they supposed to remain hanging when casting? How much leader do you recommend when adding to braid?

    • @FTWQ
      @FTWQ 2 дні тому

      On average I will use a 3-4 ft leader. I tend to not have the knot wind into my reel. This knot is okay to go through you line guides though.

    Very clean and right to the point. Thanks for the video. Others out there talk about random stuff for 20 mins before getting to the knot. Great video keep it up. Only suggestion is maybe use 2 different colored cords instead of using real mono. We can see it better. Other than that great job.

    6/2/24. A young man, YING, that I met at a nearby lake helped me with my fishing tackle (I'm essentially a "beginner"), and told me the name of this knot, so I could look it up on UA-cam. Great. Thanks for putting the video up. - Jack

    Palomar and Snell are the 2 best knots in my opinion. Cool thing about the Snell is the "popping" "snapping" action for getting it set quickly, in fish that are tricky to snag.

    Great catch. Do you put weights on the line for the frog at all? Dont know if thats a dumb question but I just started fishing. I can’t tell which lures I need weights for.

    • @FTWQ
      @FTWQ Місяць тому

      Thank you! For frogs I usually never add any weight because the lure is enough weight to cast comfortably. Basically speaking, if your having a hard time casting something out, add some weight!

    • @Tr4vxx
      @Tr4vxx 23 дні тому

      For lures you don’t usually need waits, you only really need waits when casting out some bait and waiting.

  • @canbo7643

    This is is a clinch knot with a double line through the eye.

  • @canbo7643
    @canbo7643 Місяць тому

    The reason the Palomar and this knot are so strong is because the line goes through the eye twice. What you should've pointed out is that the double lines must be parallel in the finished knot. If they're over lapping each other the knot is weaker.
